Nelly alipata nafasi ya kushiriki mashindano hayo kupitia bodi ya utalii Tanzania na ushindi huo umempatia  uzoefu mkubwa kabla ya kwenda kushiriki mashindano ya Miss Universe kimataifa yatakayo fanyika mwezi August na September mwaka huu.
